This fractal design is based on the transformation that leaves the Y-shaped star out of the triangle. Its fractal dimension is roughly 1.67.

The designs above use half-pattern blocks at the edges for an accurate representation of each iteration. As a comparison, the following diagrams show the same fractal design using whole pattern blocks. (I find it harder to see the emerging fractal, although the resulting designs are still quite beautiful.)
